My mother also from Abruzzo, Italy, made puzzles each year at Christmas, by the 100’s, put in a large tin. When our local Shop Rite in New Jersey began to carry yours, I tried them. My mother had passed many years before and we missed the. They are wonderful, crisp, and with no preservatives, no trans fats, and only 23 calories, I packed up my puzzle maker and by them all the time now. Now I’m in Florida, and only find them occasionally in Marshalls, but I have them delivered to me from Amazon, packed and send from Shop Rite, and none broken! Thanks for the great pizzelles, love them!

Wow!! My mother arrived from a little village in Abruzzo, Italy in the year 1902. I was the 12th child she had in the USA. To our delight, there was never a holiday that she didn’t make the wonderful Anise Pizzelles using the caste iron maker which produced only one cookie at a time. When I married, I also made these wonderful cookies. However, I used an electric pizzelle maker. At the tender age of 86, I no longer bake or cook any longer. I now live in a wonderful retirement community, but I still love my Anise pizzelle. Can I order them from you? When I tried to order them from a source in the USA, I was told I needed to order them from the store where I purchased them. Unfortunately, I have been very unsuccessful. The store orders primarily cases of mixed pizzelles.

The Anise ones are very delicious, you can’t eat just one! Also they make a very good ice cream sandwich, put some softened ice cream on one, press down with another, refreeze and enjoy. They don’t get soggy but also they don’t crumble and fall apart.

I have made homemade pizzelles every Christmas & Easter for probably the past 30+ years. Family members would always await our arrival with pizzelles in hand. But, as good as they were, they took forever to make. Even with a double pizzelle maker, it would take at least 1.5-2 hrs to make 60.
When I found these in the store I was skeptical, but you made me a believer. They are fantastic. I cannot tell the taste difference between my homemade and yours. I always made the anise, and a bottle of that alone made them expensive. Congratulations and keep up the good work. I found them at Sprouts in Arizona, but if they disappear (which I doubt) I will order them directly from you. Many thanks from me and my family members.
